Tax & accounting

VAT and SSCL on your prices, expenses and profit, and a period report your accountant can file from.

When the salon crosses the registration thresholds, tax stops being optional — and a shoebox of till slips becomes a real liability. Qudo does the arithmetic the way the law wants it: VAT and SSCL calculated per line on every bill, inclusive or exclusive pricing, exempt services handled, and every figure kept in an immutable invoice record that never silently changes.

Expenses live beside the income, so the period report is a real picture: turnover, tax collected, what the salon spent, and profit — by the same periods your filings use. Your accountant gets a report to file from, not a bag of paper to reconstruct.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Set up your taxes once

Settings → Tax: your registrations (VAT, SSCL), rates, and whether your displayed prices include tax or not. Services that are exempt can say so.

  2. 2

Bill normally — the tax rides along

Every bill computes its tax per line and shows it properly. Nothing new to do at the counter.

  3. 3

    Record what the salon spends

Manage → Expenses: rent, products, wages, electricity. Without this side, a report is a list of income pretending to be a business.

  4. 4

    Pull the period report

Manage → Tax builds the period's figures — turnover, tax, expenses, profit — ready for your accountant to file from.

  5. 5

    Fix mistakes the legal way

A wrong bill is voided or credited, never edited — the paper trail stays honest, which is the whole point of having one.
