SMS reminders
An automatic reminder before every visit — no per-message charge. Sinhala and Tamil messages come with Pro+.
Forgetting is the single biggest reason customers miss appointments, and a plain SMS the day before is the single cheapest fix — it cuts no-shows more than anything else a salon can do. On Pro, Qudo sends these itself: you choose how long before the visit, and every booking gets its reminder without anyone remembering to remind.
There is no per-message charge and no bundle to buy: messaging is included, subject to a fair-use allowance generous enough that a normal salon never meets it. On Pro+, messages go in the language you choose — Sinhala, Tamil or English — each written to fit its SMS segment.
How to set it up
- 1
Turn reminders on
Settings → Business → Reminders: one toggle, then choose how long before the appointment the reminder goes — the day before at a set hour, or a number of hours ahead.
- 2
Pick the language (Pro+)
The same screen sets your SMS language. Sinhala and Tamil come with Pro+ — Unicode messages carry fewer characters per SMS, which is what the higher tier pays for — and each template is written to fit its segment.
- 3
Let confirmations ride along
On Pro, bookings also confirm themselves by SMS with the customer's status link — the link that later shows their queue place and their bill.
- 4
Check the heartbeat
The Reminders section shows when the job last ran, so a schedule that stopped is visible in Settings rather than discovered by a customer who never got reminded.
